HITHGER was named years ago, because people teased Ginny, and her husband, Dave, saying, " You must have holes in your heads," for taking in so many equine in need.
"Well, someone's got to do it (rescue)," Ginny says, over and over again. "I can't stand to see animals suffer with neglect or abuse." The horse in the photo above, was battered and considered untrainable, tossed into and out of several homes before the HITHGER took her in. Now, Sapphire is saddle trained and lives with a loving family, in Pahrump, NV.
Sapphire is one of numerous successful placements through HITHGER over the years.
HITHGER is located one and a half miles north of Artois, CA, right off of hwy 99W.
